Graduated with a MA in Statistical Mechanics and a PhD from the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble, Pierre-Marie Lehucher began his career in the public sector and then started up a Research and Development company involved in mathematical modeling for Environment and Climate.

In 1996, he sold his company to the Suez Group.

In 2002, he joined Berger-Levrault as Strategy Director and he became the CEO of the Publishing subsidiary in 2006. He was appointed CEO in 2008 and Chairman of the Board in 2014.

Elected President of TECH IN France for two successive terms from 2018 to 2021, he worked intensively to bring TECH IN France and Syntec Numérique together. These two entities merged in the summer of 2021 to become Numeum, the union of the digital ecosystem in France, of which Pierre-Marie Lehucher is the co-president.

He is also the director and treasurer of the ANRT (Association Nationale Recherche Technologie – French National Association for Research and Technology).

His dual commitment reflects Lehucher’s strong ambition to consolidate Berger-Levrault’s positioning in the digital ecosystem and to contribute to the international influence of French software vendors.
