Graduated with a MA in Statistical Mechanics and a PhD from the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble, Pierre-Marie Lehucher began his career in the public sector and then started up a Research and Development company involved in mathematical modeling for Environment and Climate.

In 1996, he sold his company to the Suez Group.

In 2002, he joined Berger-Levrault as Strategy Director and he became the CEO of the Publishing subsidiary in 2006. He was appointed CEO in 2008 and Chairman of the Board in 2014.

Since July 2018, PM Lehucher has also been acting as the Chairman of TECH IN France, a nonprofit consortium of French Software Vendors.

Since July 2019, PM Lehucher is a member of the board of ANRT, a French National Agency in charge of research grants’ financing.

His dual commitment reflects Lehucher’s strong ambition to consolidate Berger-Levrault’s positioning in the digital ecosystem and to “contribute to the international influence of French software vendors.”
