08/ SPORT CHAMPIONS

SPONSORING FAMOUS EVENT
The Vendée Globe Challenge is one of the most famous sailing race in the world, only non-stop solo competition without any assistance existing by now. This 8th edition started on 6th November with international racers and will be finishing after a 40,000 kilometers round-the-world tour. Berger-Levrault participates in sponsoring the racer Stéphane le DIRAISON in partnership with the city of Boulogne-Billancourt – one of our client and the location of Berger-Levrault’s headquarters. On Saturday 18th, Stéphane was forced to quit the race prematurely (dismasting). Where sporting values of courage and self-giving meet corporate principles… A shining example of an international human adventure!

CHARITY RACE SENEGAZELLE
Marie-Ange Despeyroux participated to the “Sénégazelle”, a sporting event with only women including running and charity actions for children in Senegal - April.

SOCCER
Segundo Arribas played for Malaga’s youth team in National Championship - Spain.
Antonio Ramon Jimenez played with the teams of Futsal Lions Düsseldorf, Germany - and Genesis Futsal Club, Great Britain.

IRONMAN CHALLENGE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
Marc-Antoine Langlois qualified himself and participated in the famous Ironman World Championship triathlon competition held in Hawaii last October.

TABLE TENNIS
Laurent TEDO competed in the 1/8 elimination round of the World Veteran Table Tennis Championship in Alicante – Elche, Spain – May. He also won the gold medal in French Veteran Championship team competition in 2014.

INTERNATIONAL TRAIL
Jesus Gil is a great lover of mountain trails and he participated this year to many races, such as Ultra Trail Mont Blanc (100 km), Pyrénées FIT Trail Festival International (62 km), Gran Trail Peñalara-Ultra Cup Spain (115kms), Ultra Trail BCN (101kms). He is also co-host of a local sport radio talk-show in Cordoba, Spain.

BILLARD BLACKBALL
Patrick Lemarié won a silver medal with the French team in the speed competition of Billiard Blackball World Championship in Killarney, Southern Ireland - October.

TECH IN FRANCE RACE
A co-workers team from BL Paris participated to a corporate running 10 kilometer-race organized by the association “Tech In France” in Paris – May.

PADDLE & BASKET
Ana Van Begin plays in federal solo and collective league of Paddle (racket game) and also plays Basket-ball in Cordoba, Spain.
